I woke up at the ungodly time of 7am this morning. But for good reason. Right now I’m sitting at the airport terminal in KLIA and waiting for the gate to open. Because in a very short while, I’m going to be boarding a 21 hour flight…
To Vegas, baby!
I’ve always believed in a Work Hard Play Hard lifestyle. So when an opportunity arises where I can do both at the same time, how can I possibly turn it down.
Yup, you probably already know what I’m talking about.
The Affiliate Summit at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
As an Internet marketer, even though we have the freedom to work whenever and wherever we want, pretty much completely independent from others, it’s always a major boost to network. If you’ve never been to a summit before, I truly recommend you take the time to attend one. You’ll be amazed how many great ideas, collaborations and business opportunities will come your way.
In my opinion, networking is the most powerful marketing strategy for any individual or business. Once you make connections with others, you’re sure to find win-win situations that can benefit both parties. For the long term.
Not only that, but a positive relationship with one person, will ultimately lead to more intros, further relationships, and more business opportunities. It’s at these summits that you expand your sphere of influence with the best of the best.
Now most people say it’s not about what you know but who you know. I’m going to take it a step further and say it’s who you know and what you know about who you know. Haha.
But even then, it’s only half the equation. When you’re just starting out and trying to make a name for yourself, it’s easy to know others, but it will never amount to anything if nobody knows you.
Basically what I’m trying to say is, it’s less about who you know, but rather who knows you!
Attending affiliate summits will definitely boost your visibility and help you build relationship with others who are already established marketers.
From here you’ve got a catalyst for success.
Because people will only do business with individuals that they trust. And like.
Plus, being in the company of others in your field, many of whom are excelling at what they do, will invariably force you to step up your game.
Well, my plane is boarding, so I’d better wrap this up. If you’re going to Vegas, meet me there! Who knows, maybe we’ll start a new online revolution 😉
If not, I’ll be posting live updates throughout the summit, so stay tuned!
