After a grueling 22 hour flight, my brother Peng Li and I have finally arrived in Las Vegas. We checked into our rooms at the Bellagio Hotel. The Affiliate Summit West 2013 would start the next day and we were looking forward to attending it. But until then, we decided to have a little fun.
Here’s a quick insider look to what will be home for the next few days.
I had a hankering for Alaskan crab legs so we made our way to the famed buffet and went at it. I once shot a video of myself downing 10 in a row. I don’t know why. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
After dinner we went to Tryst to party. That’s where I experienced a major culture shock.
We were hanging out with other Internet marketers. And they had each changed some $3000 for $1 bills. In one fell swoop they were literally throwing their money in the air. The notes rained down on us. Girls went insane and ran up to us grabbing whatever money they could, then grabbing on to us. I felt like I was in a rap video and that Jay-Z was going to pull up at any moment in his mercedes maybach exelero. Absolute madness!
These guys were buying $2000 bottles of champagne for everyone. I was totally blown away. Honestly, as much as I enjoy splashing out from time to time, I was in the presence of a whole other league of marketers that night.
We traveled by limo and partied the rest of the night. I wish I could tell you what was going on in the pictures, but by then I was super buzzed and pretty much have no recollection of what happened from that point on…
Hopefully the night will set the tone for the rest of our stay in Sin City 😉
