In the video above, I have talked about thought control and in this post, I am going to share with you what motivates and separates successful people from everyone else.
The meaning of success can be as simple as having a lot of money or able to provide a good and healthy life to the family.
However, it changes as you grow because when you are at a different stage in life, you tend to have a different purpose or goal. Every individual has their own way of defining success. But ultimately, the main purpose of success in life is finding happiness and joy in what you have and what you do. Understand that there is no easy path to success. It requires a great amount of hard work and that obstacles, struggles, and challenges is part of the success equation.
I believe what separates successful people with others is having the ability to control their thoughts and to be aware of those thoughts. Unconsciously, you are going to have all these thoughts in your head. Gather those thoughts and work out which are the thoughts that are supporting or limiting you. From there, distinguish these collected thoughts whether they are a universal truth or a relative truth. In order to understand universal truth and relative truth, you must first differentiate between a fact and an opinion.
A fact is a statement that can be proven with research and findings and an opinion is an expression of feelings that cannot be proven or judgment based on facts. So, what is belief? A belief is what we believe that is true based on our own assumptions and understanding. If it is something that is universal, it applies to you and me and everybody else in the world and then, that is a fact. Now, if it is something that you can’t do because you do not have the resource or simply because you are too old, now this is known as a belief. Why? Because chances are there is someone else with the same circumstance who managed to overcome what you are facing right now.
To be in control of the thoughts and to be aware of what they are allowing into their mind.
This is how successful people stay focused because I believe that self-control is the key to productivity and self-awareness is a mandatory attribute to successful leaders. Successful business leaders are great in accepting and embracing failure, acknowledging their mistakes and still, stay motivated and focused on the big picture. Successfully, in order to increase productivity and improve efficiency, one must become more aware of their thoughts and learn what motivates them and their decision-making.
So the one thing I would like you to take away from this is to be aware of your limiting beliefs in your life and to allow, and to control your thoughts and ask yourself is that a belief that is supporting you? or is that a belief that is limiting you? And to be aware of the difference between universal truth and relative truth.
