Hi everyone!
So today, I wanted to share with you all what it actually looks like behind the scenes when it comes to setting up and packing before and after a huge event.
You can check out the video above to see what it was like after the X-Wealth event in Taiwan, which had over 2000 people in the room – it looked like a war zone once everyone had left and the team started taking things down.
I have to give the team due credit though. They were very efficient as they stripped down the very beautiful backdrop and started packing stuff up, taking down the lights and metal frames and all the props and decorations. There were easily about 50 people working together, helping to pack up and get things done.
I guess I just wanted to share with you all this because it’s stuff that people generally don’t see or appreciate.
Not many realize how much effort goes into an event – not just planning the logistics of it all, but in setting everything up, making sure all goes smoothly, and then taking everything down later.
Chances are, you’ve walked into an event before and everything looked amazing and was in pristine condition, and you never realized that there was a ton of stuff going on behind the scenes – from the stage to the screens to the lighting to the backdrop and AV equipment, or even down to how all the chairs are lined up nicely…
I’m just saying, even when you’re a great speaker and presenter one day, don’t forget the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes for your event because without them, there would be no event.
Now, on to the other thing I wanted to share with you in this post:
The 2 Most Important Skills You Need To Learn
At the end of the day, there’s no denying that learning to speak and present is one of the most lucrative and fulfilling skills that you can learn, because it’s a skill that you can apply in all areas of life.
Speaking and communication affects your relationships, transcends into your business, and pretty much every part of your life.
So the two skills that you should pick up and constantly work to improve upon are these two:
- Communication
- Sales
Because whether you realize it or not, you are selling every minute of the day.
Don’t believe me? Well here’s some examples:
- If you want to date the guy or girl of your dreams, ultimately you need to sell the idea to your potential partner.
- If you want to take a girl out for a movie, you first need to sell her on the idea of why she should go out with you.
Whether you realize it or not, you are constantly selling.
And that’s why selling is the number one skill in the world when it comes to business, and why the highest paid people in any organization are the people who bring in the money: the sales people.
So if you would like to learn more about the art of how to sell, close and communicate a whole lot better, one of the things that I’ve done is that I’ve prepared free training for you.
All you need to do is visit this free link: www.closingforthemoney.com
This is where you’ll be able to get free training on how to become a better communicator, salesperson, and how to take your skills to a whole new level.
BONUS: Do I have a script when I speak on Periscope or on stage?
Many people don’t know this, but I used to be horrible on stage, on camera.
At the end of the day, if you want to master anything in life, it just comes down to this one word: Practice.
Remember, every master was once a disaster before mastering their craft. It’s just that people don’t see the blood, sweat and tears that they put in in order to master it.
If you go to the Olympics, you’ll see all the professional athletes on the field, making everything look so easy, but people don’t see the effort and sacrifices that they put into practicing and honing their skills.
Similarly, today, people just see me in front of thousands of people looking really natural and confident, but what they don’t see are the times when I first started out, was really nervous, when I was even puking the night before…. Spending hours and hours practicing in front of a camera or mirror – but people don’t see all that.
People just see the tip of the iceberg – they don’t know the struggle that you actually went through.
So at the end of the day, if you want to be good at anything in life, then you need to be prepared to be bad at it first. Take the plunge and be willing to try.
Ok, so I hope you guys got value out of this post.
