I’ve been marketing online for 8 years now.
And the things that keeps popping up from all that learning is outsource and automate as much as possible.
To allow that time and money freedom, nearly everything I is do is either done in house or outsourced.
Over the years we’ve managed to grow our in house team to 12 people, with our outsourced team of 9 people that we use frequently.
This ranges from content creation, blog posts, sales letters, Clickbank approval, graphics, video editing, programmers, social media, you name it.
Today I received a very disturbing email from E Brian Rose.
He’s one of the few marketers I look up to and is also the OWNER of JV Zoo.
He says that my last blog post on Christmas was ripped off and rewriten from his newsletter.
Let me say this…
I HATE being ripped off.
And I can imagine how it feels being in the receiving end.
A new guy was assigned to write a blog post on Christmas because it was EASY and non technical. Short and sweet.
Great way to get warmed up.
A blog post wishing Merry Christmas, c’mon! How hard is that?
To make matters worse, when he gave it to me, I thought to myself “Wow, this guy is really good! Very heartfelt.”
I’m going to take this and send it out to my list of 200k and tweet it to my followers. (something I almost never do)
OMG.
I don’t want to go into a ranting mode, so I’ll cut to the chase.
To Brian, I apologize that this happened. I’ve taken the blog post down. Please let me know if there’s any way I can make this up to you. You’re a brilliant marketer and JV Zoo has done a ton for the internet marketing community.
To my readers, be careful of who you outsource to. This is the second time in my IM career that this has happeend. Outsourcing can be a double edged sword.
To internet trolls, no this post is not outsourced. I’m writing it myself which is probably why there will be a ton of spelling and grammar mistakes.
